If you use Whatsapp you MUST use Two-Step Verification - Learn How

If you use Whatsapp you must use Two-Step Verification – Learn How

Most platforms offer Two-Step verification now and if you are offered it I would always say – do it. 2-Step verification offers another layer of security to your account making it very hard for your accounts to be taken over.  If you use Whatsapp you must use Two-Step Verification.

Why is Two Step Verification so Important now?

Its apps like WhatsApp the cybercriminals are targeting because we use it without thinking.  We are getting savvier with our online security and yet we are still falling for various scams.  This is because hackers are trying everything to get into our accounts. They are using very clever phishing emails, text messages, and other scams. We want our logins, usernames, and passwords to be safe and 2 Step verification is a great start.

What is Two-Step Verification

With 2-Step Verification or two-factor authentication, 2FA you add an extra layer of security to your account, known as multi-factor authentication in the tech world. This layer is very important now and you should try to use Two-Step Verification everywhere

Once set up, when you sign in to your account there will be an extra step after adding in your username and password and this which would usually be a number that is texted or emailed to you, something that you would have immediately to hand, which a hacker or scammer would not.

With WhatsApp when you have two-step verification enabled, any attempt to verify your phone number on WhatsApp must be accompanied by the six-digit PIN that you created using this feature.

You probably realise now that you already use this with your banks or other platforms, and its fantastic that it’s become more common for use to protect our identities, money, and our accounts.

With Whatapps users having grown from over 1.5billion since 2017 and with cybercriminals trying every day to find different ways to threaten your online security you must be crazy not to have 2-step verification.

If you use Whatsapp you MUST use Two-Step Verification – Learn How

Open WhatsApp

  • Click Settings
  • Accounts

If you use Whatsapp you must use Two-Step Verification - How to

  • Two Step Verification
  • Enable

If you use Whatsapp you must use Two-Step Verification - How to

When you enable this you should also add an email address, in case you ever forget your six digit pin.

As always if you get any emails or text regarding these things and you haven’t requested them. DO NOT click the link, as it is probably someone trying to gain access to your account.

Set it up now, it’ll be worth it

Hope this helps

Brands - make sure social media influencers are following the rules

Brands – make sure social media influencers are following the rules

Influencer marketing is on the rise, brands just love influencers to show off their products. Brands – make sure social media influencers are following the rules because influencers are going to be in big trouble. They are not stating they are being paid. Which includes gifts to show products on their social media platforms. The rules state that – any reward received for an endorsement, is made clear.

And this week we have seen many reports that The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) have begun investigations. These investigations are to find out whether celebrities and influencers on social media are making paid promotions sufficiently clear.

Brands need to make sure social media influencers are following the rules

Brands – make sure social media influencers are following the rules

We know they are not. I know of many posts that have been paid for or given gifts for promotions that have not been stated. People don’t either don’t want to say or don’t realize that any payment, free gift or perk means that the post is now an ad and it needs to be labeled as such.   Seriously though most influencers now are sharing so many ads – its not an influence to me, as they are just spamming brand stuff, they don’t need a hashtag.

The Independent reported this week

That influencers are actually now being investigated to see if they have been paid and not declared this on their social media updates or youtube videos.

Social media stars promoting goods on Instagram, Snapchat and other social media platforms are being probed by the competition regulator over concerns that paid advertisements are not being properly declared.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) launched an investigation on Tuesday into the labeling of online endorsements.

Some celebrities and influencers have a considerable amount of commercial power thanks to millions of followers who watch their channels to see where they go on holiday, what they wear, which products they use, the books they read and more.

Read more – Celebrities and social media influencers investigated for not labeling commercial posts

The Advertising Standards Authority states that “the brand normally has primary responsibility for complying with the rules” and so it follows that they should be educating influencers and consumers about the rules also.

Who is responsible

The ASA Advertising Standards Authority says

Under the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing, the brands (the advertiser) normally has primary responsibility for complying with the rules. Others involved in preparing or publishing marketing communications, such as agencies, publishers and other service suppliers, also accept an obligation to abide by the Code.

Brands - make sure social media influencers are following the rules

What are the ASA guidelines

How to declare your posts

If you have been paid for or received any compensation such as a gift or discount – You must include #AD so that it is visible in your caption/post/video and not mixed in with other hashtags.

If you have been given something or paid to give an honest review which isn’t interfered with by the Brand you must put #sponsored

The label should make clear that the content is an ad. There isn’t one specific label that advertisers and publishers must use, but ‘ad’ and ‘advertisement feature’ are suitable.

Because ‘sponsorship’ is not the same as ‘advertising’, labels such as ‘sp’, ‘spon’ and ‘sponsored post’ are all unlikely to stick to the rules, so we strongly caution against their use. If something is an ad it cannot also be sponsored; labelling it as such is likely to mislead because it suggests that the brand had no editorial control and that the content is therefore primarily independent.

Statements such as ‘brought to you by’, ‘in partnership with’ and ‘thanks to our friends at…’ are all ambiguous as to whether the content is advertising or is sponsored material. As such, these should be avoided as well.

So even though really the come back should be on brands.  It is up to influencers not to look like spammy. Not like they are sharing fake news, and let people know they are getting paid to share. Its up to you Brands – make sure social media influencers are following the rules

New sexortortion scam - They have your password

New sextortion scam – They have your password

New sextortion scam – They have your password!   Cybercriminals are sending victims their own passwords to make them hand over Money – I’ve heard of this happening to a couple of friends now and I’ve seen some reports elsewhere so I thought that I would share it with you.  As it does sound really scary!New sextortion scam – They have your password

You get an email with your Name and Password in the Subject line

Boom – Shock set in.

In this phishing scam, the scammers send you your own passwords and make you think that they have filmed you on your own webcam watching porn and goodness knows what else.  The thing is you might think –  well I’m okay I’ve not watched porn *cough* but the password IS yours, so it could still freak you out when they say if you don’t give them money they will actually forward the video of you on to all of your contacts.

Don’t panic New sextortion scam - They have your password

The E-mail or Text message reads like this:

I know that XXXXXXX is your password. You don’t know me and you’re probably thinking why you are getting this mail, right?Well, I actually placed a malware on the adult video clips (porno) web site and guess what, you visited this website to experience fun (you know what I mean).

When you were watching videos, your web browser started working as a Rdp (Remote control desktop) that has a key logger which gave me access to your display and also web camera. Right after that, my software program collected all of your contacts from fb, as well as mailbox.

After that I gave in more hours than I should have digging into your life and generated a two view video. First part shows the recording you had been watching and 2nd part shows the recording from your web cam (its you doing nasty things).

Honestly, I am willing to forget all information about you and let you get on with your regular life. And my goal is to provide you two options that will make it happen. The two choices to either ignore this letter, or simply pay me $ 3200. Let us understand those two options in more details.

The scammers then give you options!

Option One is to ignore this message. You should know what will happen if you select this option. I will definitely send your video to all of your contacts including members of your family, coworkers, and so forth. It does not help you avoid the humiliation your household will feel when friends and family learn your unpleasant videos from me.

Other Option is to make the payment of $2900 a fair price tag for our little secret –  I will delete the video immediately. You continue on with your routine life as if nothing ever occurred.

Now you may be thinking, “I will go to the cops”. Let me tell you, I’ve covered my steps to ensure this mail can’t be traced to me and yes it won’t steer clear of the evidence from destroying your health. I am not trying to break your bank. I just want to be compensated for the time I placed into investigating you. Let’s assume you have chosen to create all of this disappear completely and pay me the confidentiality fee. You’ll make the payment via Bitcoin (if you don’t know how, type “how to buy bitcoins” in search engine)

Required Amount: $2900
Receiving Bitcoin Address: XXXXXXXX

(It is CASE sensitive, so you should copy and paste it carefully)

“Important: You now have one day to make the payment. (I have a special pixel within this email message, and now I know that you have read this e mail). If I do not receive the BitCoins, I will definitely send out your video recording to all of your contacts including close relatives, co-workers, and many others. Nevertheless, if I receive the payment, I’ll destroy the video immediately. If you need evidence, reply with “Yes!” and I will send your video to your 10 friends. It is a non-negotiable offer, therefore do not waste my time and yours by responding to this message.”

New scam - They have your passwords

So if they don’t have a video of you – but this new sextortion scam – They have your password, how did they get it?

There has been so many data breaches over the last few years, is thought that these are old emails from then – so another reason to always change your passwords often – and have different passwords for each platform or service you sign into.

This is a new type of phishing scam email and I think we will be seeing this a lot more as they find other ways to scam or trick us into giving them money.

What should I do, if I get an email saying they have my password and a video of me?

My advice, right away before anything else – quickly change your passwords on anything that has that password  – just in case. It’s worth doing anyway if this is a current password. And always. always always,  have Two Factor Authentication

Do not send money – they don’t have a video of you – or your contact list they are just completely guessing.  Hoax-slayer explains it here –

Fake Blackmail Sextortion Scam Emails Using Real Passwords

Police Advice

Action Fraud Police say

  • Don’t be rushed or pressured into making a decision: paying only highlights that you’re vulnerable and that you may be targeted again. The police advise that you do not pay criminals.
  • Secure it: Change your password immediately and reset it on any other accounts you’ve used the same one for. Always use a strong and separate password. Whenever possible, enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

Will Skorr be a replacement for Klout

Will Skorr be a Replacement for Klout?

Klout recently informed us that they were closing down on the 25th of May. We don’t know if this has anything to do with GDPR or it just happened to be on that date.  Although for me Klout was broken for at least the last 6 months! They kept trying to help. But no matter how many times I (or my friends) told them they seemed to skirt around the answer.  However, suddenly on the horizon, like a shining star we spot Skorr Social and we wonder will Skorr be a replacement for Klout.

We had to investigate and we downloaded Skorr Social right away! On first look, it really has a great UI – Klout never had anything half as good. Yes, there are a few teething problems, nothing that that they aren’t sorting out – they are brand now folks.  How do I know they are sorting these things out?  Because we are part of a Whatsapp group of Skorr users, #Skorr70 who used to be part of Thomas Powers #klout70 group – learning how to get their own score over 70 Klout.  We are now helping Skorr with a live R&D and they have joined the group and are taking note of our suggestions and comments.  You can join too – if you want to learn all about Skorr and team up with people to learn how to best use it – but beware I am admin and no spam is allowed – Skorr70

So Who are Skorr Social

SKORR was launched on May 7th and is a free social media app to put you in control of your presence online. It will measure your influence and give you a unified vision of all your social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Youtube, Linkedin, Twitter).

Based in Portugal – the founders are Bernardo LucasCarlos MartinsFernando VideiraJoão Brites Moita, CEO Miguel CaeiroRui PaivaTony Poulos

It seems Skorr managed to get 1 million pounds in funding, so they aren’t a shot in the night, they mean business. And they are totally committed to make Skorr and success. Maybe their reputation will get them more investors because Klout spent a whole tonne more than that and they still couldn’t get it right.

Skorr has a lot extra in my opinion too.

Will Skorr be a Replacement for Klout

I think they will be a very worthy replacement for Klout – I am loving Skorr so much, Its so, so clever!

They have analytics – so that on each post you can see how much engagement and post reaction you get.

You get notified when you get a killer post in which the likes and comments update pretty quickly.

Will Skorr be a replacement for Klout

This is one of my killer posts on Instagram – one of my drawings. please to see that getting some attention.

Will Skorr be a replacement for Klout

And they Calculate things different to Klout. Skorr take into consideration fake followers, which is brilliant!  They have an AI bot I think called Pulse that checks how regularly you are posting and or engaging, the tone of voice and all sorts.  It’s learning about you as time goes on – brilliant right!  So exciting!  Engagement isn’t right yet, but its learning.

How you are growing your Skorr – and lots of stats on this page.

Enough of my ramblings about it, see below what Skorr have to say……

Skorr Calculation

We asked how does Skorr work out the Skorr this is what Miguel Caeiro told us

Skorr 1 to 100 is the result of over 32 KPI’s algorithm, much richer than just Friends, followers or likes adding up. It’s achieved through a deep learning algorithm that learns the impact of all the interactions and how people react to it. Artificial intelligence is used to understand content and context.

Juicy qualitative attributes

We count with some really juicy qualitative attributes like the type of language, tone of voice, fake followers, speed and depth of your audience reactions, and many many more. Naturally, in the first days, quantitative weights more than qualitative, but as machine learning gets richer insights, it will calibrate better and better.

The app has to learn with you and your network. You can start low, but rise up with the Pulse(that continuous measures activity) that rewards you when you have strong posts and continuous pace in terms of reactions and fans. Also, at this stage, we’re counting with 7 days of interaction for the evaluation, but as we move on, we’ll incorporate up to 90 days, the legal limit.

# Much more than a number: bear in mind that the (1)Measurement part its just the first of the 3 mains pillars of the product, being (2)Monitoring and (3)Improve the remaining two. In Monitoring you’ll be able to see a lot of your aggregated KPI’s evolution over time, the detailed performance of your posts, your audience profile and double check your online personality.
While on Improve (it will come after some weeks of machine learning work) you’ll be able to set your own goals!  Automatically Skorr will tell you what, when and how to post to reach your pre-defined targets. as well as extremely powerful prevention and protection features.

Linkedin only giving access to 500 connections right now

# LinkedIn weight: we hope in a few weeks to improve the API access, but so far LinkedIn is only giving access to the first 500 connections. This is limiting the influence measurement to some of you. As soon as it’s released Skorr will automatically make the calibration.

The future sees much more

# Professional/ Multiple pages on my profile: In this first version, only personal accounts are allowed, and one per platform. Really soon Skorr will allow connecting more than one account in the same profile, as well as FB Pages.

Features include

– Your own Skorr, your social number, the aggregation of all your social presence. By connecting your most important social networks, you will have your own personal Skorr
– You will be able to analyse your posts engagement, per post and post reaction, so you can find out what content works for your network and you can grow socially
– Challenge your friends to see who has the highest Skorr and have fun comparing your Skorr to celebrities and influencers
– Discover what are your main topics and how you can make more impact with your posts and grow your influence
– Find out in detail who are your fans, their age, gender and much more

Check out the video

So all in all the answer to – Will Skorr be a replacement for Klout?   It’s a big yes from me!  I think they could have taken on Klout if they were still here too.

Looking forward to all of the future update – I am hoping for a Chrome extension and a Web platform.

Facebook Working on New Features such as "Clear History"

Facebook Working on New Features such as Clear History

On Tuesday at Facebook annual f8 developer conference Mark Zuckerberg informed us of a few new things that they are working on or are implementing – one of which was the news Facebook Working on New Features such as Clear History.

This is a great idea, just like how on your browser – ie Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge etc, you can go in to your settings and clear your history of all of the sites you have looked at, apps you have interacted with, everything you have clicked on or clear the cookies from those sites. Facebook is going to have the same thing…!

We hadn’t written about Facebook since our post on how to download your Facebook data.   After Facebook’s privacy practices were put under investigation, but now we have some action!

Facebook Working on New Features such as Clear History

So with Facebooks new Clear History option, you will just be able to click a button to clear all of that information – Cookies and History from your account, you will also be able to just turn it off so that it never stores any of this information going forward.

What are Cookies

When you visit a site a cookie is downloaded on to your PC – so that the next time you go there the site knows you have been before. Some cookies record how long you were on the site, what you clicked, what you’ve stored in your shopping cart.   It might sound worrying but it helps the website load quicker or keep information that we might not want to keep entering in everytime we visit it.

You can always delete these cookies on your browser, or get them to delete everytime you close your browser and sites now ask you if its okay to store them on your computer.

Facebook Cookies

Facebook cookies are stored to verify your account to determine when you are logged in to you don’t have to keep logging in to Facebook.  To see where you are logging in from, for security in case someone is trying to take over your account. To help fight spam and phishing attacks to detect the dangerous or infected computers.  And for advertising, to show you more but also to stop you being shown too many. Cookies store your preferences, what you interacted with and to allow you to switch easily between pages and profiles.

So its good that Facebook Working on New Features such as “Clear History” – But that’s not all they are bringing out soon.

He said that while they are doing this they are also trying to bring people together in new ways.

Facebook have also introduced Watch Party

Watch Party lets you watch a video in a chat with your friends.

Watch party allows group admins to pick any public prerecorded video on Facebook and show it to their members at the same time, for a shared experience. Apparently, this is what Mark Zuckerberg’s friends did with his congress videos.

Facebook Working on New Features such as Clear History

Co watching videos isn’t really anything new – we’ve been doing it on Twitch for some time.  It seems that Facebook are really trying to grow engagement and interaction on their site.

Watch party is rolling out to groups now.

To see if you have Watch party.

Open your page click on start a new post and you will see the “Watch Party” option under the box. Where the other options to add a photo, tag friends etc is. If you have it it will be there with the popcorn icon.

Facebook "Clear History"

You first have to click that and create an update telling people you are going to be hosting a Watch Party. Then you can add the videos you are going to be watching.

You can also just add certain members of the group to watch with you.

Facebook Working on New Features such as Clear History

Facebook also announced a new dating feature.

Dating will be rolling out soon.  Mark Zuckerberg said that it’s about proper relationships not hookups -(like Tinder). Only people that have signed up will see your profile which will be totally optional. They know that everyone is concerned about privacy and safety so they have had this in mind since they started creating it.  Your friends aren’t going to see your profile. It will only suggest people who are not your friends, who have opted into dating and have your preferences.

So lots of things coming soon – we like that Facebook Working on New Features such as Clear History the best!

Twitter is cracking down on multiple accounts bulk tweeting

I feel I’m letting you know this news a bit late, platforms and apps have were warned in FeEburuary that this would go into effect on the 23rd of March!  So, whats going on –  Twitter is cracking down on multiple accounts bulk tweeting because they are finally trying to get rid of spammers.  I haven’t been this please since I read about Twitter finally stamping down on Auto DMs – the other twitter Spam

<iframe src="" width="480" height="270" frameBorder="0" class="giphy-embed" allowFullScreen></iframe><p><a href="">via GIPHY</a></p>

What does it mean, Twitter is cracking down on multiple accounts bulk tweeting

It means if you have more than one account, and are sending the same tweet out from all of them, even if staggered, you could get banned.

Yoel Roth on the Twitter Developer blog told 3rd parties, that Twitter were changing the APL to limit the ability of users to perform coordinated actions across multiple accounts.  And changing the use on Tweetdeck.  They see it as spam, and they are really trying hard to crack down on spam.

I think it’s a good idea, too many people are ruining Twitter by gaming the social network for whatever reason.  Some people having 20 or so accounts just so that they look like they are important getting the accounts to retweet them and even comment on them. Much of this comes from users trying to higher Klout score or higher follower numbers.  It’s those people that are ruining it.  Not really the small businesses who are just trying to reach more readers by making the most of other accounts.   I do have a few accounts but I don’t usually bulk tweet, because they are for different subjects however sometimes they might retweet each other, which is allowed if not overused.

Less automation in this way is a brilliant idea, for Twitter, and maybe real social media managers can get on with their work again without all of these cheap bots, with their auto DMs and automation trying to take over and ruin Twitter for everyone.  We type fast enough to not have to use automation, haha 🙂

Twitter said…..

The use of any form of automation (including scheduling) to post identical or substantially similar content, or to perform actions such as Likes or Retweets, across many accounts that have authorized your app (whether or not you created or directly control those accounts) is not permitted.

This is going to affect many users…

Twitter told 3rd parties to make changes to their applications or services

Do not (and do not allow your users to) simultaneously post identical or substantially similar content to multiple accounts. For example, your service should not permit a user to select several accounts they control from which to publish a given Tweet.

  • This applies regardless of whether the Tweets are published to Twitter at the same time, or are scheduled/queued for future publication.
  • As an alternative to posting identical content, you can Retweet content from one account from the other accounts you wish to share that post from. This should only be done from a small number of distinct accounts that you directly control. Please note that bulk, aggressive, or very high-volume automated Retweeting is not permitted under the Automation Rules, and may be subject to enforcement actions.

Do not (and do not allow your users to) simultaneously perform actions such as Likes, Retweets, or follows from multiple accounts. So, your service should not permit a user to select several accounts they control to follow a specified account.

  • For additional information on aggressive or inorganic following behaviour, please refer to this developer forum post.
  • For additional information on the appropriate use of automation for replies and mentions, please refer to this developer forum post.

We are starting to see Twitter trying to make a real change here and I hope it works. First starting to get rid of bots and now Twitter is cracking down on multiple accounts bulk tweeting

  1. Notifying you if an app misused your data. Moving forward, if we remove an app for misusing data, we’ll tell everyone who used that app. We’re also building a way for you to see if your data might have been accessed through “thisisyourdigitallife,” the app that sent data to Cambridge Analytica and violated our platform policies.

  2. Making it easier to manage the apps you use. We already show you what apps your account is connected to and what data you’ve permitted those apps to use. Going forward, we’re making these choices easier to find and manage by showing you a tool at the top of your News Feed.

  3. Turning off access for unused apps. If you haven’t used an app within the last 3 months, we’ll remove the app’s access to your information.

  4. Restricting Facebook Login data. We’re changing the way login works to reduce the data that an app can request without app review. Apps can only request name, profile photo and email address. Requesting any other data will require our approval.

You can also change your tracking settings in Facebook

If you don’t want Facebook to track your behaviour so they can send you the best ads (like google already do) you can opt out of this.

Go to Settings

Click on Ads

Under Ad settings say NO>

Create professional logos in minutes with DesignEvo

I first went on to see how you can download free logos, as there is usually some catch with these types of “get something for free”  websites, as you know  you get nothing for free these days, and with creative sites you normally spend ages creating something only to be told at the end of it that you have to create an account, or just put in your bank details. Such a pain.

However, I was pleased to learn that all DesignEvo ask is that you agree to credit them in some way. This is a great idea, as not only do people get a free logo – DesignEvo gets some advertising.  And even the free logo is fully customizable! Which is unusual too.  The only thing you don’t get with the free logo,  that you might need is an SVG version, however its so cheap to upgrade, if you like it, its no problem.

how to write a blog post

How to write a blog post

Anyone can write a blog post, we all have our own styles and our own topics that we wish to share with the world – or our few readers.  However, not everyone knows how to write a blog post that people will read.  People are lazy and they can’t be bothered to read something unless it grabs them in the first few minutes.

And some blog posts just ramble on and on, with no structure, others don’t really have a point to the blog post and you can just read the struggle they had with the blog post.

Why do I need to write blog posts anyway?

Businesses always say they never have time to write blog posts.  They are actually lazy about writing blog posts.  Mostly because they don’t know what to write or how to write it – but if you have started a business its probably because you are an expert at something or know more than most people about the subject.  So it’s the best way to get people to know who you are, what you do, and to get visits to your website.  It can be a very useful form of marketing. Content marketing is a type of marketing which includes creating and sharing blog posts, updates, videos, and images.

And remember once you have created a blog post you can repurpose into many different formats.

How to write a blog post

Remember the structure that you had for the stories you wrote in English Class back in the day, well its sort of like that.  You start to learn How to write a blog post and one thing flows into another and all of a sudden its written.

First, you need to ask yourself WHY are you writing a blog post?

Why are you writing a blog post

Knowing your why is even important for blogging, you need to know your why.  Why do you even need to know how to write a blog post.  Is it to give value to the people that you want to reach, your audience? This is a great reason 🙂

Who are your audience?

To start you first need to know who you are writing for, who are your audience, why are you writing and why do they want to read it.  What value can you provide them?

What are you writing about?

If we know the audience and we know what they want, and what we can give them, we should have a topic.

What is your topic?

So if we have a topic, we now need a title.

Titles are difficult, that’s a blog post in itself – but we need something catchy short and to the point.  And maybe your long tail keyword – but definitely to include your keywords.

Think of the blog post like your little story at school: you need to have a beginning, a middle and an end, (yes, I once worked with primary school children)  its good to break it down like that but in grown-up terms, we can use…

  • Intro
  • Bulk
  • Conclusion
  • (Call to Action)

First just jot a few things down about how you can introduce what you are going to write about, then what you are writing about, and then why you wrote about it.

Structure the design

  • Once you have a few notes you can start to think about how you are going to structure the design… People love lists (I learned this almost 10 years ago from Dave Peck)
  • Headers
  • Sections
  • Tips
  • Images

Have a think about how you can use these items to your advantage. They all help to break up the bulk of text which helps to keep people reading.  Remember people get bored easily they need visual stimulation and breaks in the text.

Now you can start to fill in all in with writing… don’t worry about how many words at this stage, just write with the flow.

Once you have written the blog post and moved it all around so that it looks great.  And you have check that it can be easily read you need to proofread it.

Now you can count the words.  You should have a minimum of 300 words, but around 1500 words nowadays, is a good number.  But do not pad it out, if you have 500 words, leave it at that.

How to count your words really quickly – copy and past your blog post into word – click review and word count.

Then proofread it again and again, and again.  Something I’m pretty useless at but I know it should be done.
