Face to Face Business Meetings with CityHour

By | April 26th, 2014|Categories: Mobile apps|Tags: , , , |

Over this last week or so I've been investigating  just how easy it is to set up Face to Face Business Meetings with CityHour. I was asked by Alex Lubinsky CEO of TrueBear Corporation to test out the CityHour application (which is available on iOS) to share with you what it does. Yes, this is a sponsored post, as I explained in my last post about CityHour - I am being paid to be a Brand Ambassador for just a short while. Which is fantastic as I love telling you about great applications to help you with your business. City Hour Makes Setting up Meetings so Simple We all know that social media and business networking is very important to our business.  Establishing a connection, interacting with our contacts and getting to know them is all important in creating trust and/or friendships.  However, CityHour expands those connections and takes them that step further, with ease.  No longer are our connections just a number but they are a prospect that wants to meet us. In this post I'm going to show [...]

What’s different about the Dating Application called Tinder?

By | October 6th, 2013|Categories: Mobile apps|Tags: , , , , |

I recently found out about the free GPS dating application called Tinder from a friend of mine (honestly)!  I've never used dating sites for myself, not saying that I wouldn't, I think they are a great idea, if you can be sure its safe. Some of the dating sites seem a bit too formal though and that's how this one is different, it seems easier and more fun.  Although some have called it a sex satnav and said that people are using it to meet people for sex.  Which is all very well if that is what is expected but it then becomes a worry that this app is rated 12+ but that's another blog post... What is different about Tinder? There are many people searching for romance, love or sex and apparently this dating application has been a winner so far, with many many downloads, matches and engagements that have happened this year, so why is it different?    Basically its FUN, its not stuffy, and doesn't require you to fill out huge forms expressing your feelings or anything [...]

Instagram Video! Facebook's Instagram have now added video to the instagram app. The video can be upto 15 seconds long and you can filter and share it just like you do your images. Where can I get instagram video This is available right now on iOS and android. Just update your app in the app store - Google play or in iTunes for iPhone and as if by magic you have the new feature of movie making.   As you can see here the video icon is there ! Its very exciting to have these changes to Instagram, its a great app and I must say that I use it often. I love how easy it is to enhance images and then share them on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr and now we can do this with video, exactly the same way as we do with images. I did a quick video just to test it out - and it works pretty much the same as Vine but you have a button.  http://instagram.com/p/aynxI7hXOf/?autoplay=true   The only trouble is that when [...]

Mood Watch the iPhone app helping Mood Disorders

By | March 10th, 2013|Categories: Mobile apps|Tags: , , |

This clever iOS application for iPhone and iPad is used to track the moods of people with Mood Disorders. It helps people suffering with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder and even people just feeling a little low to track how they are feeling mentally, physically and emotionally in order to help them understand themselves better, and to hopefully enrich their lives. Who created the app Mood Watch and why? I found this an interesting story - Kim Knox, who has Bipolar I - created this application after tracking her own moods during a stay at psychiatric hospital.  She started with just five coloured pencils and a note book and began charting how she felt, adding notes about her blood pressure, sleep, what tablets she took and much more information to see how these things were affecting her moods. It was helping her learn about herself but it was so time consuming it was then she thought about creating application to help collate all of this information. It sounds complicated but its actually very simple to use, and the application creates an easy to [...]
