How do I remove the Ask toolbar from Google Chrome I'm not sure how I got this darn thing, but I have been downloading a few different drawing packages so I'm assuming I allowed it entry from something there. What was happening is that every time I put a word in the address bar (omnibox) - whereas normally it would bring up Google search - this annoying Ask search thing would come up. Look what happens when I type in Walk Off The Earth in the address bar......   <-- see my review there - Great Band Useless!! These are Asksupports instructions that didn't work for me but they might for you. To remove the Ask Tool Bar from Chrome - In an open Chrome browser, click on the Wrench In the top right-hand corner of the browser window. - Hover over Tools In the menu that appears and click on Extensions. - Locate the Ask extension and click the Remove button next to it. - Click Uninstall In the box that appears. - Close and re-open your browser. To reset your Chrome homepage, [...]

I love Google Chrome and I also love Twitter.com so incognito has proved extremely helpful when I want work on various accounts at the same time. Its quite simple, you can just use Chrome's incognito; pages that you view in this window won't appear in your browser history or search history, and they won't leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close the incognito window. Any files that you download or bookmarks that you create will be preserved, however. Using this you can open second accounts in Google Mail, Facebook or Twitter or anyother program application that you use that only allow you to log in once. Click - the Spanner icon (top left)  Click - New Incognito window There you are done. Google Chrome & Privacy - Browsers, Privacy and You You will know that you are using inconito as the icon appears in the top left. For more information click  Google chrome and privacy Hope this helps

Problems with Google Chrome?

By | January 21st, 2011|Categories: Uncategorized|Tags: , , , |

You are surfing away, googling some interesting sites when all of a sudden, Chrome starts to say This web page not available and you check the error message and it says.........Error 10 (net::ERR_ACCESS_DENIED): Unknown error.HUH! Well ......this doesn't appear to be a problem with Chrome but it seems as if it is either a firewall or anti virus blocking access,  lots of people with Mcafee have this problem. So make sure its approved or allowed in the settings. Or like me - I'd left Peer Guardian running and it really hates that and blocks Chrome opening some pages randomly. So close Peer Guardian and viola Chrome opens the page. This might happen in other browsers as well like Internet explorer, Firefox, Mozilla but I've only noticed it in Chrome. Chrome by the way is a brilliant browser its quick and simple and I love it. Why use Google Chrome.I just wanted to share that little bit of a fix with you, as there is nothing worse than having an annoying little problem and not knowing what it is.Hope this helps.
