Twitter Photo-Sharing Service – Bad for Twitpic!

No doubt you would have heard by now that Twitter's CEO Dick Costolo is announcing the launch of a photo-sharing service this week, we first heard it was a rumour from Techcrunch however since then allthingsd.com confirmed that the image sharing service is going to be announced on Wednesday at All Things D's D9 California Conference. I hadn't seen this report myself until I asked Robert Scoble about it yesterday and he told me where it had been confirmed so it must be true, unless All things D are lying. Ev said earlier today ... So who knows what the truth is, I guess we will find out soon enough. Twitter clearly wants to overturn these 3rd parties, and has said so previously.  We also saw this with Tweetdeck being bought by Twitter and now Twitpic and Yfrog will be the ones being pushed out or bought?  What does this mean for other rival 3rd party applications?
