Twitter is cracking down on multiple accounts bulk tweeting

By | 2018-03-29T15:11:32+00:00 March 29th, 2018|Categories: Social Media|Tags: |

I feel I'm letting you know this news a bit late, platforms and apps have were warned in FeEburuary that this would go into effect on the 23rd of March!  So, whats going on -  Twitter is cracking down on multiple accounts bulk tweeting because they are finally trying to get rid of spammers.  I haven't been this please since I read about Twitter finally stamping down on Auto DMs - the other twitter Spam What does it mean, Twitter is cracking down on multiple accounts bulk tweeting It means if you have more than one account, and are sending the same tweet out from all of them, even if staggered, you could get banned. Yoel Roth on the Twitter Developer blog told 3rd parties, that Twitter were changing the APL to limit the ability of users to perform coordinated actions across multiple accounts.  And changing the use on Tweetdeck.  They see it as spam, and they are really trying hard to crack down on spam. I think it's a good idea, too many people are ruining Twitter by gaming the [...]

How can I download a copy of my Facebook data?

By | 2018-03-27T02:32:04+00:00 March 27th, 2018|Categories: Social Media|Tags: |

Facebook's privacy practices are now under investigation, as confirmed by the Federal Trade Commission and everyone is asking what has Facebook got on me and How can I download a copy of my Facebook data. Its been a while since I wrote about Facebook, its usually about scams or Facebook live but not this time, now people are not happy with Facebook, they have lost trust. Don't panic - its really easy to Download your information and you can then see, if it's worse than you thought. Although its not likely to be all of the data since you joined Facebook, stuff that has been deleted will have been deleted from Facebook's servers. Facebook help say this... Remember, most of your Facebook data is available to you by logging into your account. Also note the categories of data we receive, collect, and save may change over time. We'll update these tables if that happens. So what they are saying is most of the information here, is readily available on your account - either stuff you have shared with the world (your [...]

How to write a blog post

By | 2018-03-12T17:46:10+00:00 March 12th, 2018|Categories: Social Media|Tags: |

Anyone can write a blog post, we all have our own styles and our own topics that we wish to share with the world – or our few readers.  However, not everyone knows how to write a blog post that people will read.  People are lazy and they can't be bothered to read something unless it grabs them in the first few minutes. And some blog posts just ramble on and on, with no structure, others don't really have a point to the blog post and you can just read the struggle they had with the blog post. Why do I need to write blog posts anyway? Businesses always say they never have time to write blog posts.  They are actually lazy about writing blog posts.  Mostly because they don't know what to write or how to write it - but if you have started a business its probably because you are an expert at something or know more than most people about the subject.  So it’s the best way to get people to know who you are, what you [...]

By | 2018-02-28T21:39:12+00:00 February 27th, 2018|Categories: Social Media|Tags: |

Vero the new social network that says it's not going to use ads and that it will be free for the first 1 million people who sign up - has gone a bit viral - and many people are asking How to use Vero. There has been a lot of noise about Vero on the Internet this week with lots of the top newspapers and websites posting articles and blog post about Vero - This is causing Vero to struggle a bit with demand so bare with it. If you see a message saying server-side service timeout - please try again later - either just leave it and wait - as what you were doing usually pops up - or try later. Also, many people have downloaded Vero in a panic to not feel left out FOMO not knowing anything about it at all - and so then they don't know how to use it, I'm seeing tweets on Twitter, saying right now I've to Vero and I don't know how to use it.  What does Vero do, what is Vero, [...]

By | 2018-01-31T15:27:00+00:00 January 31st, 2018|Categories: Social Media|Tags: |

Instagram has made some changes to their API and today Instagram introduces scheduling posts.  You can now officially schedule and publish on Instagram, but whats the catch?  The catch is we can only use Facebook Marketing Partners or Instagram Partners to schedule and post.  And you do have to have an Instagram business account, plus you have to log in with Facebook so several catches actually. Businesses will also now be required to use Facebook Login when giving permission to third-party tools to utilize these features. For those who wish to continue using their existing API tools, they will still be able to do so but will be unable to access any of the new features as a result. Schedule and publish on Instagram now Using Hootsuite... HootSuite is one of the biggest social media management platforms and they are partners at Instagram. HootSuite announced today before anyone else that they are able to schedule and publish on Instagram through their Hootsuite dashboard. “Scheduling and publishing of Instagram content has been the number one request for our 16 million customers," [...]
