Automated personal assistant ClickHook

By |2017-02-08T01:18:53+01:00July 31st, 2014|Categories: Business, Internet Tools|Tags: , , , |

Recently I was asked to beta test the Automated personal assistant ClickHook - I wondered what on earth it was all about so I signed up.  I love a new app or platform and I love beta testing to help out.  And just sometimes I feel compelled to write a blog or a review about the subject, to help or inform my readers of great things, just like now. ClickHook was founded by Dave Vass and his Partner Rajeev who although are from Canada and India respectively have been working together for sometime. ClickHook has only been around for 4 tiny months so its in very early stages, especially when they are a very small team and the product is self funded by Dave himself. Just wow!   The idea behind ClickHook is to offer a simpler new approach to handling leads and contacts.  I love where Dave is coming from with this, he is enjoying the thrill of creating something for us, that is more flexible and easier than anyone has created before. Bolt by Instagram – 1 tap photo messages

By |2017-02-08T01:18:56+01:00July 30th, 2014|Categories: News|Tags: , , , , , |

Well it looks like they've done it - Bolt by Instagram - 1 tap photo messages, has been launched - according to reports by Techcrunch, Mashable and The Verge. We've been hearing about this new messaging app which is set to be a Snapchat Rival for about a week now. Snapchat, Slingshot and now Bolt.....We really need more right? Bolt by Instagram - 1 tap photo messages It seemed that Instagram let the cat out of the bag before it was ready - or maybe it was one of those accidently on purpose social campaigns that Apple always seem to have. This banner appeared on peoples instagram accounts introducing Bolt Its being launched at first to just three countries, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa, and supposedly coming soon to the rest of us. Its a real shame they decided to go with the name Bolt, I'm really not sure why they did. If you search on the App Store there are so many apps called Bolt and one developer actually asked instagram to please not use it as they'd spent the last [...]

Your desktop version of Skype is being retired

By |2017-02-08T01:18:56+01:00July 20th, 2014|Categories: Internet Tools|Tags: , |

Is your desktop version of Skype is being retired?!  People are getting emails saying that Skype are retiring their version of Skype and they are concerned that these emails might be a phishing email, scam or virus email.  Its good that people are concerned, you should never click links that ask for your passwords or to download, without checking first. Skype Email - Your desktop version of Skype is being retired The email reads like this We are now retiring older versions of Skype and it appears that you’re currently using one of these. To continue signing into Skype on your desktop you'll need to download to the latest version. The new version comes with improved performance and the latest features and security updates, so you'll get the best possible Skype experience Is this a scam email from Skype? Skype have been saying for a long time that this will happen, and last month on their own blog they said that Skype are focusing on bringing us the latest most up to date versions of Skype and to make sure we are all using them, [...]

Google+ says come back trolls we miss you

By |2017-02-08T01:18:56+01:00July 17th, 2014|Categories: Social Media|Tags: |

Well okay Google+ didn't really say come back trolls we miss you - but they have gone back on yet another rule that has been in place since Google+ first started and I joined in 2011 and that is where you had to use your real name. Fake names can now be used on Google+ Its big news apparently because lots of people were confused about the fact they have to use real names. Quote from the Google+ post  We know that our names policy has been unclear, and this has led to some unnecessarily difficult experiences for some of our users. I'm not sure how difficult that is........ no fake names .. It seems that the problem has arisen due to the amount of people on YouTube using usernames that were gamer names or business names or just a funky name - Youtubers have been allowed to bring those names to Google+ so how can they restrict Google plussers any more. Also a bit misleading is that Google say Today, we are taking the last step: there are no [...]

Twitter Growth Hacking Tool

By |2017-02-08T01:18:56+01:00July 16th, 2014|Categories: Internet Tools|Tags: |

What Twitter growth hacking tool is this I hear you ask - Well I recently told you about Jooicer the new Twitter tool which you can use to add some Jooice power to your twitter account and I just needed to update you.  Its still in Beta/Alpha unsure which but they are updating like crazy and we need to keep up! Updates on Jooicer The founders Bartolome and David Rodriguez have been implementing changes, changes that users have suggested or updates that they already had planned but not managed to find the time yet - Well, they found some time alright - I can't believe how fast they work on this. Multiple Accounts This was a winner for me, I wanted this from the start, when I suggested it they said it was in the pipeline,  and it was quickly added.   You choose your primary account and you can add as many accounts as you wish.  So far I've only added two but I'm going to get going properly with it now. Live Roadmap Now, this is genius, I [...]

So, what is Scrazzle – Microblogging site?

By |2017-02-08T01:18:56+01:00July 6th, 2014|Categories: Social Media|

Follow my blog with Bloglovin I found myself asking this question recently - So, what is Scrazzle - Microblogging site? I'd seen a few tweets popping up about it, so I had to go and investigate.  You know how I love a new network.  Scrazzle is in beta right now but you can join to find out what its about. Scrazzle is a new social network - well actually they call it a Microblogging site. Scrazzle say that they built Scrazzle because they were fed up with Twitter.  (Scrazzle is also an iOS crossword game, and a music band so that is a bit unfortunate). My investigations regarding this site, haven't amounted to much actually - I can't find out who are the founders, I found the name of the person who registered the site but he doesn't say anywhere in his bios that he is the founder.  So, I won't name him just incase, but short of asking them I didn't get far. They do say on their Twitter account that they are Australian but thats about it - So, [...]
