Spill the beans???

By | May 30th, 2009|Categories: Uncategorized|

A question came to me whilst talking to my friend Jonny the Music Journalist. Would you tell intimate true stories to a journalist if you were a famous celebrity? Would you trust that journalist not to sell it to the tabloids? Well that’s what happens a lot of the time, and I don’t get it.It must be Jonny’s integrity and wit that brings people to spill the beans. I was absolutely astonished at one particularly colourful story that one particularly famous musician regaled him with recently. Having bumped into the aforementioned famous musician on the street whilst Jonny was making his way back from Sainsburys (very Rock n Roll, I know) Amazingly, they are not even really friends – more like acquaintances. Jonny has interviewed him in the past and they really hit it off, both slightly crazy, in a good way! The famous musician even said that it was the coolest interview that he had ever done – they spent six hours talking together at his house. On this day however famous musician guy was telling Jonny some really funny [...]

Steamy Sauna Session

By | May 26th, 2009|Categories: Uncategorized|Tags: , , , , |

That got your interest didn't it? Ha-ha! It wasn't quite Britney sorry! What I'd like to know is... do you actually enjoy saunas? I'd really like to find out because guess what, I don’t get it. As we all know I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to trying out new things, most comfortable behind a computer. But the guys are always so supportive that I always end up doing things that I might never have done. This weekend I had a proper sauna for the first time. Yes, I know how sad and feeble that sounds but I just never fancied or had the opportunity to have one. :) Nevertheless on Sunday the guys decided that after an exhausting day at the beach, a sauna would help. All that lovely hot steam would make our bodies feel refreshed and alive again, they made it sound so nice. So After a few deliberations I decided to give it a go. We arrived at this tiny room, while they charged in, I apprehensively looked on. My boyfriend [...]

Its not just me that doesn’t get it.

I would like to point out at this stage, that while there are lot of things I don't get, there are similarly a lot of things that I do get :)   Like Twitter ... Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users' updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length which are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them (known as followers). Thanks to Wikipedia for that description, don't you just love Wikipedia :)   My cousin who actually introduced me to Twitter some months ago now, still doesn't get it, she is always asking me questions. Like RT - how many times can you explain that? RT is to ReTweet someone else's post that you have read and found interesting or felt that it might be beneficial to others. Which is just a forward in email terms. And yet she still would say, whats that again? Obviously there is [...]

Written in the stars

I wrote a book about a girl who just didn't get it...... still sorting out some final adjustments, but here are the first few paragraphs.Be Careful What You Wish forChapter 1 / Grants WeddingStanding in the church at Grant’s wedding, I was listening to Grant and Julie saying their vows to each other and I was actually trembling. I kept thinking… What am I doing here? Why did I come? What am I, some kind of masochist? Then my mother leaned over and whispered, “Don’t worry, Danielle. One day, you’ll find someone just like him”. She was the only person who could say that to me, on this day. Didn’t she realise, that was not what I wanted to hear? I didn’t want someone just like him: I wanted him! Yet all that wanting did me no good at all, did it?There he stood at the altar, looking far too gorgeous. Next to him was his fiancée, soon-to-be wife who, I must tell you, looked like a stick insect. Put it this way: if a big gust of wind [...]

Itouch iphone – I don’t get it?

By | May 6th, 2009|Categories: Uncategorized|

Do you have an iphone or and itouch? What do you think of them. What is missing for you? Having only recently acquired an itouch myself, (from my lovely boyfriend who buys me all of my gadgets, ...Christmas soon :) ) I started to question why the itouch does not have bluetooth, I heard that its to stop file sharing, is that the real reason? Someone mentioned that the bluetooth chip is actually inside the itouch and could be activated? I didn't get it, so i did some research and found this. (Old news but took some digging.) http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/2008/09/new-ipods-dissected-ipod-touch-2g-has-bluetooth-sorta.ars In saying that, I love my itouch and I wouldn't be without it. It would just be an advantage to have bluetooth and very annoying that it is in fact lurking in there!  Moving on to the iPhone, these also look great and I understand you can have a bluetooth headset but I am lead to believe this too has no bluetooth facility. Even worse No Mms ......No Mms?! You actually can't send or receive pictures from or to your friends! Okay [...]
